“Happy Wednesday, hive and home, and welcome to this week’s Pollinators Are Us.
This just in: have you heard of… f-l-o-r-a-l art?”
“It is all the buzz with creative humans, apparently. A flavour of gorgeousness you only get when something is crafted by a mindful floral designer, the kind who takes the time to make blooms look effortlessly, impossibly beautiful.”
“We now buzz live to our field reporter, Flappity da Hummingbird, who is vibrating out of his feathers with new found excitement.”
***Flappity performs an enthusiastic interpretive dance, wings whirring fast as he frantically hums toward the flowers arranged just so. He twirls, dips, and points his sharp beak dramatically to the arrangement too artful to be accidental. His dance crescendos into a celebratory chatter that echoes across the design room.***
Back in the studio the (rarely speechless) Anchor Bee twitches the fine hairs on her five eyes… the thousands of tiny lenses un-focussing dreamily in awe…
… her antennae tilted in pure admiration.
“Oh I say,” she concludes, “f- l- o- r- a- l… art.”
