’Twas the season of merry making, traditions held tight,
With twigs (with snow), the candles (a glow), the bells (jingling just so)… it all must look just right.
Checking the list, and checking it twice… all important, all needed to get done
till the joy of the making was devoid of all fun.
We learn from tradition, its wisdom we hold,
yet update them with just as much care so our own stories can also unfold.
