The Season for us to deck the halls for twinkle filled gatherings is finally here,
our calendars filled with all the fun things we look forward to all year.
Our design ideas practiced and perfected, each event palette aligned,
the ribbons, the candles, the baubles all selected… no opportunity to add sparkle declined.
Yet amid all the bustle, a reminder clear:
December is also a time when meaningful reflection calls us near,
... to also design in a few of those “this one is for me” moments to quietly revere.
A solstice date to go out watching the renewed morning light, a stay in night with a good book read by the fire…
whatever is a perfect “you" thing to add a bit of the calm we so require.
Set tiny intentions, those promises your heart longs to keep,
even tuck some bulbs in, where snug till Spring they can sleep.
The simplest of pleasures that we embrace,
... like designing for moments that glow with renewal and hope… those few luxurious Christmas moments at a more gentle pace.
