Oh yes, everything about late Spring is there to remind us that it is time to make our dreams become unstuck.
It feels like it was a heartbeat ago that we were sitting there in Winter coziness counting, ordering and daydreaming- but mostly staring at our seed packets. But life really is too short to simply stare and wish… how soon that window opened for us to plant those little seeds.
Life is too full of the possibility like those odd little things turning out to be pretty flowers once they become unstuck to get stuck in wishing and wanting… forever.
And so… last week I signed off on my own odd little thing… something rather spectacular that is starting to germinate for here on the My Creative Workbook website.
And flower buddy, I can tell you it is super super super cool!
Something we have been working on ever since you guys absolutely blew us away with the response to my book 5 years ago. I can’t wait for all the features to start finding their way to you. Like a seedling the new look website is getting its true leaves now… and I am staring at it as you would a dream list tiny flowering plant gaining momentum in the late spring sun.
We have already started to let it unfurl… (the most observant of you have already mentioned that you have noticed our weekly design looks slightly different) because really, if there is something you dream about you owe it to your talent to make it happen!
My floral journey did not take me where I planned but it lead me on a path to creative expression that is well beyond my planned dreams… and I am so, so fortunate to have connected with you, and other talented and like minded designers in a way that I, with a huge spade full of enjoyment and yes, gratitude, get to share my design with every week.
I have learned so much from how plants respond to stress, how resilient they are and how beautiful they are not in spite of but because of their “imperfections” and it has inspired me to look at floral designing in a way that makes my work uniquely… Christine. Because it really is part of me now. And I believe it is part of any designer's journey. I am so, so happy it is part of mine!
Maybe that is the whole point. Maybe what makes our creative journey so important is that it allows us to choose to grow and build and rebuild our lives in meaningful and creative ways.
That as we condition our flowers and notice their creative potential it reminds us of our own potential… and sparks a desire to do some creative creation for ourselves, right?
So this Spring you will notice the My Creative Workbook website blossoming with new… new for you to enjoy as long time flower buddies. A weekly New for all skill level floral arrangers who are looking for ways to practice, explore, protect and enhance those inner whispers of our talent to develop our very own effortless style and a Oh So Special New for you if you are an expert designer looking for new and creative ways to move beyond what you thought your growth height “should” be…
