My article and do-it-yourself design projects in the summer issue of
DIY Weddings Magazine
Two fairy tale design details…
that will capture the imagination of even the youngest members of your wedding party.
A tiny bug box to carry your rings in for the ring bearer…
and a small butterfly net
filled with confetti petals for a small flower girl to scatter down the aisle.
I wanted the designs to look fairy made and natural rather than perfect and straight.
Although very few flowers are arranged into the designs, you will find that you use quite a few willow and hazel branches to weave with.
You can do these months ahead of the wedding and simply add a few blossoms, ivy or Chrysanthemum petal and palm leaf butterflies before the wedding, as I did here.
The designs are quite durable and will endure scrutiny by curious little hands even though they may look delicate and fragile.
