Place a small round plate as a spacer on a serving platter.
Place cherries all around the plate, stems facing up.
Fit the cherries in like a puzzle so that they cover the platter surface.
Turn the cherries so that the stems point up.
Remove the small round plate.
Leaving a perfectly round space to frame the orchids.
I wanted the orchids to rest slightly away from the surface and at an angle so I glued in two water tubes.
I made the tubes from drinking straws. See the Tutorial below for more detailed instructions on how to make water tubes.
Place the orchids into the design.
