Native to Mexico, Central America, the West Indies, and northern South America

Varieties

Brassia species and its popular hybrids are common in cultivation. 30 to 40 species with numerous hybrids

Colors

Green to yellowish green and brown with redish brown or meroon stripes or spots

Vase life

As a cut flower the vase life is shorter than most other orchids

Scent

Strong floral, at times. Other times no scent

Uses

Perfect accent flower

Conditioning

Water once or twice a week when actively growing and less in colder months.
