Measure the length of the bag and cut a few twigs to create the foundation
Drill a small hole on both ends of each twig
Thread twigs on wire.
Secure all four wire ends by curling it with pliers.
Measure out the twig foundation and cut a foam sheet as a protective underlay to protect the handbag from the rough twigs
Polyethylene (PE) foam sheets are spongy and non-abrasive. You can save and up-cycle the foam you get as protective packaging or purchase it from electronic component or packaging supply stores.
The foam sheet should be only slightly smaller than the twigs
Glue two BoutStix Floral Magnets at both ends and remove the shiny partner magnets
Glue the foam sheet over the magnet sticks and onto the twigs
Position the twigs on the bag. Open the bag and secure the twig foundation with the partner magnets
Twig foundation ready to design with
The magnets are strong and the bag can easily be opened and closed.
Partner magnets on the inside.
