On my online workbook this week: Chockablock!

Dear

This week's inspiration is filled to the point where it spills over.

Oh yes... today I have loads of reasons to celebrate! Today is my book's birthday... and I am announcing my workshop to everyone. And I am celebrating with a spill-over design that spills over with fun techniques- each necessary for the design to work.

My tip for you this week is how to keep the design light and airy but still completely control the shape and placement.

The tape, placed sticky side up, placed in a grid over the container supports the grass to start the twirl. By supporting the tips just that little bit you can curve and lean the grass into a neat whirl without it slinking back into the container to accumulate on the bottom. Once you have enough grass whirling around the container you can go back in and interweave blades to keep it securely in place. You now have even more control to neaten up the shape and build up the much needed height the design requires.

As a bonus you will also require fewer blades of grass to complete the design. The grass looks like they are simply leaning that way, all light and airy… with the cut ends in water while the tips are draped and curled exactly where you want it over the top of the design.… perfect for a Spring celebration.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
