Happy Valentine's Day!
Draw the heart shape on cardboard
Draw another heart in the middle.
Cut out the shapes
Heart shapes ready for a glue layer. You can use spray glue, double sided tape, clear sellotape or give the shape a bit of body by layering sticky side out masking tape.
Roll the first bit of masking tape.
Stick the tape to the cardboard and start to wrap the tape around the cardboard sticky side out
Bulk up the shape by layering the tape

A few more sticky tape hearts...
Make hearts without the inside cut-out in the same way.
Gently press the rose petals to stick to the tape. Take care not to bruise the petals
Overlap the petals to make sure the tape will not show when the petals dry
Fold the petals over the edges and cover the back
When completely covered wrap wire around the petal heart.
Gently tie the wire on itself and start to wrap. Fold the petals down to make sure the wire doesn't cut it
Wrap the entire heart shape and tie the wire on itself to secure

and a few more hearts

or use the same technique to cover the shapes with foliage
