Horizontal twig disk

This is probably the quickest and easiest way to create a disk armature. I simply use a large plastic catering tray as the circle template
Fix tape to the tray so that the sticky side is up
Three strips of tape should be more than enough to help keep the twigs in place while you wire them
Measure and cut a twig to follow the shape of the tray
Work your way from the inside out
Press the twigs slightly down to stick to the tape
When you have the basic disk shape you are ready to start to wire it
Bend your wire in half. I used a decorative wire but you can also use bind wire
Slip the twig into the bend and twist the wire to secure. This is the basic wire technique. Twist the wire to the point where you add the next twig
Work your way up adding twigs as you go. I lift the twigs in this picture to make it easier to see but...
... it's easier to get the spacing just right if you keep the twigs stuck on the platter as you work
Wire the right side just like left
Add one more twig to create a hook to hang the armature from
Simply slip out the twig and bend the wire ends to secure
Hang the armature and adjust the twigs.
Glue a few test tubes to the back as a water source for the flowers and vine
