On my online workbook this week: What goes around

Dear

This week's inspiration is thoughts thought watching leaves twirl.

My tip for you this week is to frame what you want the viewer to look at- in this case the pretty flowers framed by the twirling vines. You see, designing is a bit like doing magic: you focus the attention on what you want the viewer to look at in such a way that you can happily create the magic over there without anyone spotting the “how”. For me that sums up craftsmanship. It should be so seamlessly done that the average person never even thinks to wonder… but how??? And so innovative that anyone who is interested in the “how” is captivated for a moment and walks away inspired.

Just a short note on the how: create a seamless connection between the two pieces of bark by matching them together and then cutting away any pieces that do not fit so that when you put them together they lock into a seamless unit.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
