On my online workbook this week: The way we curve
Dear
This week's inspiration is… you rock!
I just want to take a quick moment to say thank you. As people are getting more comfortable at socializing and connecting online and even in some places start to venture out as safely as possible I more and more get to hear how you guys are sharing my book with your flower friends and I want to make sure that you know that I notice and appreciate your generosity.
This week’s tip is about taming grass curls and how the flower face… well...face. As you roll the grass it tends to curve to one side more than the other creating a ringlet rather than a perfect curl. And because of the way the orchid is positioned on the stem it tends to face down rather than looking straight to the front. I have a work around for you: first anchor both the orchid and the blade of grass under the rock so that they rest in the puddle of water to remain hydrated. Have a look at which way the grass leans and allow it to lean away from the flower. Adjust the grass by pulling it out from the cut end to form the semi framing circle. When it’s just right secure the grass to the orchid with the tiniest bit of glue so that the orchid offers support to the grass and the grass pulls the orchid back up. This way the flower won't flop forward and the grass won't flop backward.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
