On my online workbook this week: How to freeze a wow moment

Dear

This week's inspiration is to have more conscious experiences.

My tip for you this week is about buying flowers out of floral fridges. The purpose of a floral fridge is to suspend flowers in peak condition. This means that flowers stored in fridges can be days old but look as fresh as the day it arrived. However, the moment you remove suspended flowers from the fridge it will start to show signs of deterioration quickly.

For the longest lasting flowers I try to avoid buying flowers out of a fridge. This way you can inspect them in their natural state (I have a detailed list of things to look for in my book to make sure the flowers you buy really are fresh... and how to quickly inspect a floral fridge to make sure you buy quality flowers) and remember to ask when they came in. But if the bunch you fall in love with is in the fridge I always suggest you pick your bunch and place it on the counter, first thing, before browsing the shop for a few minutes longer. This gives the flowers time to reach room temperature and you will quickly see if it was suspended past their peak as blemishes and bruises become visible before you buy the flowers.

Happy 2020, flower friends. Have a fun and flower filled year.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
