On my online workbook this week: Counting Raindrops

Dear

This week's inspiration is … raindrops on roses :o)

Have a quick look at the design… now tell me… did you wish you could get up tippy toes and look at it from above?

That is the magic of the glimpse into that one mature rose- it makes us want to see more. Now the rose was not all that mature to begin with. I removed the petals to expose the disk of the rose- with the anthers perfectly matching the colour of the grass. It also hints at late summer… at something that is about to happen. It opens a gap for the viewer to add a little thought of their own. Perfect for transitioning from one season to the next.

My tip for you this week is about placing the crystals towards the ends of the grass where it is more flexible. To keep it from drooping and to make sure the grass tip can carry the weight add the crystal right on a tiny node rather than the space between the nodes.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
