On my online workbook this week: Catch and Release

Dear

This week's inspiration is the time of year when we are choosing curiosity. Because when we meet the bugs with curiosity it’s easier to befriend those who visit to help in our garden. The goal is to make it less inviting for harmful pests by making it more inviting for the beneficial bugs.

There’s definitely a design lesson in that. Always design in such a way that your design details look welcome in your design and not desperate to try to escape.

This week’s tip is about adjusting the bug net so that it can be positioned on the long vine stem to be perfectly placed. The wreath woven at the end of the stem will be angled once done. Simply attach the knotted net part to the wreath. You do not need to be too aware of which way the net points for placing it in the design at this point. Rather focus on your craftsmanship and finish the net knots as delicately as possible. Then when you place the nets and notice you would have preferred it pointing another direction simply pop the net inside out (see the picture above) to adjust. The knots from the split grass basket make it easy for the net to swivel and be on either side of the wreath.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

ps: Have a wonderful Canada Day this weekend, flower buddies
