On my online workbook this week: Thaw
Dear
This week's inspiration is … the official start of Tulip season.
Tip: Make sure the wool is wrapped as tightly as possible around the container and will not droop into the water. It is difficult to tie the wool tightly enough around the slippery round container. My advice is to tie it around the container slightly off the mark of where you want it, where it is smaller, and then slip it towards the wider place you want it so that it fits tightly. As you add more wool knots it gets easier to tie them without it slipping away from you. And then go around and secure it to the vase with a tiny drop of hot glue.
But if the wool droops into the water or if any string ends are left long enough to dangle into the water the wool will wick the moisture out of the container that can damage your display surface. A mystery puddle of water is never a good sign!
Once done, check the wool pieces and if any of the sections are too slack and move the wool until it is tight and secure it with a knot.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
