On my online workbook this week: That day after Halloween feeling

Dear

This week's inspiration is Genuine Courage… it’s not just for Halloween.

My tip for you this week is about tension and a great way to add "tendrils" on a vine without tendrils. It’s all about lines in this design.

I adore a drapey vine. They add so much to any design and can easily be adjusted to cast exactly the magic spell you want. In autumn I usually opt for the kind of vine with long, curly and elegant tendrils like passion fruit or grape. But what if you want your design to have a bit of an edge?

A great alternative is simply to adjust how you groom the vines. My vines look almost electric, right? Like sparks of lightning in the container. The way I*** did that is to cut the leaves from the vines leaving the leaf stems long to end bluntly. This gives you that unnerving spark effect. I even added a few dew drop crystals to the tips of the stems just to highlight that I did this on purpose.

*** and of course when I say I, I mean Mort. Mort the skeleton was helping out in my design room this week. Hope you had a magical Halloween, flower buddies.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
