On my online workbook this week: Take a swing at it

Dear

This week's inspiration is to enjoy the process.

My tip for you this week seems easy… and is almost undetectable when you do it right. But if you get it wrong it spoils the whole look.

I am talking about the curve in the ripped grass. It should be exactly the same everywhere. It should gently curve over the curve of the mophead. Set aside any ripped foliage that are damaged by uneven ripping, not long enough to naturally follow the curve, or are bent at an angle to use for something else. Only those ripped foliage strips that will drape softly over the design will make the cut. Adjust the curve by gently threading the strongest end deeper or pulling it out a bit. Any break in this drape distracts so much from the design that it looks sloppy.

Then when everything is perfect, go back and use the longest strips of grass to swing over the design with delicate curls at the end.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
