On my online workbook this week: Space holder

Dear

This week's inspiration is holding space.

Last week I mentioned how I use a lot of water for my designs as the temperature goes up. This weeks tip is another cooling idea... movement. I wire the garlands (curling the ends into butterfly feelers) so that they dangle loosely in my design. This waving of the swinging twig and wire garlands adds to an airy and breezy feeling created by the design.

This is also a really great technique for when you want to add a lot of details that just effortlessly stays in place with no fuss. Simply add butterfly feelers ahead of time. They slip over and stay put on the smallest twigs... the largest twigs and everything in between. You can even add them to water tubes- see the Tutorial for this below this week's post.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

Would you find it beneficial if I add more information about the supplies (eg: where I bought the wire and what wire) I use for the designs? I would love to hear what you think.
