On my online workbook this week: Slow Glow

Dear

This week's inspiration is a glowing start to the design season. Happy 2022, flower buddies! Have a fun and flower filled New Year.

My tip for you this week is to make sure your design is secure.... but add a loophole. Be mindful of the lifecycle of your designs. Find clever ways to maintain your designs that are as easy to use as it is to hide.

For this design it meant finding a way to get to the flameless candles to switch them on… and off. Also I found that once the design is done I had to reposition the candles so that they are more visible through the "snow" and the twigs.

My solution was to craft a lid from the fluffed wool and twigs that are secure on the one side but can flip open on the other.

Also… if you craft a design for someone else, firstly make sure to delay the need for any kind of maintenance as long as possible and then remember to mention how to maintain it when needed so that your offering is truly stress free.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
