On my online workbook this week: Putting my feelers out
Dear
This week's inspiration is … tactile.
Oh you know I believe if you want to make anything fun… just put in a little bit more effort to make it something you are proud of… and instantly it’s more fun to do.
I feel the same way about designing. Adding energy to anything makes it more special and as a bonus even more enjoyable to do.
My tip for you this week is an easy way to get the weave (and all the cut ends) to sit securely under the water so that it continues to hydrate. It’s so simple! Line the cut ends up on your working surface while weaving so that, when you pick the weave up, they are all already at the same height. In my case my plastic sheet that I used to protect my design surface had a very convenient fold line. Simply place each cut end so that it lines up with that. Or draw a line or use painters tape to mark off a line.
Then when you slip it into the water the ends are all underwater at the exact same line and you can open the weave and adjust it with a skewer.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
