On my online workbook this week: Pass it on

Dear

This week's inspiration is … that slice of wood. Spectacular… but… well… do you maybe know what kind of wood this is?

My tip for you this week is to layer your design elements so that there is always more to be discovered. I know it is pretty strange to craft something for hours and then allow it to barely peek out from behind the flowers but that is the whole point. You might have picked up on this from my emails over the years but I like creating things that are almost, almost missed and invite only the most observant of onlookers to lean in closer for a better look. Of course not everyone will notice… and that is really part of the fun. And these handmade bamboo husk orchids create a visual bridge between the spectacular cascade of orchids and the spectacular slice of wood.

Did you notice?

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

ps: there are two new Tutorials this week. The second link is below the design post.

Have a look at my all new behind the scenes/how did it come about/how did I think of writing that The Effortless Floral Craftsman book page - now with your reviews. Thank you Susan (... and if your review is not yet there I would love to add it)

Here is a link if you require a template for this week's Bamboo husk orchid Tutorial. You can download your copy of the FREE booklet with 17 of my most popular design templates that I have used here on My Creative Workbook over the last 7 years. Some of the templates were also used to create something pretty in my book but all the Tutorials are here on My Creative Workbook for you to start designing even if you do not have a copy of the book... yet.

I will also include the link in next week's newsletter if you want to pass it on to anyone else. They can sign up from anywhere on my website.
