This week’s inspiration is water, water and water… it’s absolutely summer time!

My design note for you today is about fixing a fold in a foliage bow. Your design really looks more professional if the bow creates an elegant curve.

If you do find that your bow has a sharp fold in it you have three options. Start again with fresh grasses and see if you have better luck the second time curving the grass into a bow (not as easy as a ribbon!) or create a fold on the other side to mirror the accidental fold to make it look deliberate.

Or you can try to stretch the fold out. Simply curve the grass with your nail on one end and support it on the opposite side with the pad (see pictures above) of your thumb. Similar to what you would do to curl ribbon. Many times simply stretching the foliage removes the sharp fold and restores the elegant fold.
