On my online workbook this week: My valenVine

Dear

This week's inspiration is to lean into what we have going for us.

Nothing is fixed into place in this design. Yet everything is exactly where it should be. And will remain so even though everything is naturally moving. Everything leans… freely. For growing things to freely stay in the direction you want them to, you have to inspect what they naturally tend to do and lean into that. Float the vine filled vase and adjust the water (I make a syringe with long tube to do this- the How To Tutorial is below the design) so that it naturally floats just at the right depth in the water to offer support for the heavier tulips.

As tulips continue to grow after being severed from the roots they naturally curve in a direction. Inspect the bunch of flowers and choose two that lean in the same way, in the same direction as you want to design them… naturally.

Working with what is already there… and then stressing it just enough to healthily set it in a more pleasing direction is the best way to ensure healthy, flourishing growth. Both in a design… and for yourself.

And then let it be so that it can do it’s thing.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

ps: Have a Happy Valentine's Day flower friends!

An... everything is moving... design. The tulips are growing and the small vine filled vase is bopping around in the water. And if you lean them against each other just right it grows and bobs in place!
