On my online workbook this week: Love that a whole bunch!

Dear

This week's inspiration is a luxurious way to make the most delicate flower the focal point of your design.

My tip for you this week is cutting the grape hyacinth stems to the same height so that the stems neatly slips over the twig but the flowers settles just above the waterline.

Measure out the flower stem that will be the tallest grape hyacinth of the bunch against the twig, right where you want the twig to look like it is growing (see the pictures above) out of the cluster. Cut this stem so that it will be at the right height and still reach the water below. Set this stem aside. It will be glued right in the middle of the cluster. Now when you are ready to cut all the stems you do not have to move the cluster, measure it and remove it again and risk the flowers breaking or damaging. Simply cup the flowers in your hand while the glue set and cut all the stems to that one stem’s height.

Next we drape the cluster, first over the edge of the container and then over the twig for support. Let it settle and you are ready to thread the focal flower through.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
