On my online workbook this week: Linked This Way
Dear
This week's inspiration is a little bit of effort... now*** or then***
I could not decide which tip is the most important for this week’s design so… I am adding both:
My first tip for you this week is to make the wreaths all the same size- and perfectly round. Wind the first weaving stem of every wreath around the bud vase to create the basic shape of the wreath. Then weave the next stem around that to complete the wreath.
… oh! and before I forget my second tip: to decide whether you want to put in a little bit more effort now***, while designing… or a little more effort then***, while enjoying the design.
As the wreaths dry they will slip down the bud vases. You can simply choose to adjust the vases at a wider angle every other day to keep them in position. This is the zero waste option.
Of course if you would prefer not to do this (or if the design is an installation and you won’t be able to keep an eye on it to adjust) you can add the tiniest bit of hot glue to secure some of the wreaths to the glass vases as you design. I suggest you try hot glue because it is really easy to remove from glass and after a soak in warm soapy water the glue simply peels away. Tiny bit of waste. But I suppose you can dry the hot glue and melt it down again making this design a 100% zero waste option… yay! us.
And both ways are quick and easy. Just depends on when you would prefer to put in that little bit of extra effort.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
