On my online workbook this week: Let’s play ball

Dear

This week's inspiration is diligently chipping away at those goals.

My tip for you this week is about the angle of the stems. The grass ball opens up so many options for us to angle the stems exactly how we want them. You can roll it about and find the exact angle you require. And then, the moment you add the heavier flower stem, it anchors the ball in place. The stem kicks against the side of the vase turning the ball into a stable support (even when the grass dries in a few days time) for the rest of the design details. Play around with the stem once threaded through the ball and find how deep, or not, you need to place it to create that anchor point. You can always “make up” the visual balance by adding the longer grass pieces once the physical balance point is exactly right.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

Both pretty and pretty effective. Keep the flowers exactly where you want them by weaving a stopper for your bud vase.
