On my online workbook this week: It’s the most… it’s the most... Toast-iest Patina Christmas of all!
Dear
This week's inspiration is time to look back... and forward as we prepare for New Year's Eve.
Also time for me to switch off my design room lights to take a break until the first Wednesday in January so that I can declutter and deconstruct and doodle out my New Year's intentions while overthinking how the fresh snow managed to transform even our streetlamp into the most beautiful thing I have ever seen… and prepare to start a new flowery chapter (more about this in Spring…)
It's been a heavy year, and creating beauty when things got rather ugly again became a lifeline for many of us. And to, with a stubborn and compassionate creative heart, not allow the heaviness to drag us away from beauty.
Here’s a toast to us for creating our beauty as we all rearrange to what the world is rearranging to. Cheers!
… and thank you for the smiles and kind and generous comments this past year. Your support continues to inspire me beyond words.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
Ps: my tip for you this week is to balance out the overdone, aged look of the copper curls… let the orchids mature to a deeper shade for a design that looks like it is frozen in time. Also, they last remarkably long if you keep the water level below the flower right where the stem is still green. So make sure to place the candle and the vase inside the display container before adding the flowers so that you have control over the water level.
