On my online workbook this week: It starts with WHY

Dear

This week's inspiration is well... do you ever stop to remember why?

Here is my why … why do I create and share and show up here week after week after week?

I invest so much of my time and energy thinking of, creating and developing new and unusual design Tutorials to share, so that you will have a “How To” on hand that is just right to help you make whatever you want when your own inspiration hits. Because I remember how frustrating it is when you do not have the time, energy, know how or resources to experiment but still desperately want to create your pretty something.

.... because if even just one person tells me

that they are going to go get flowers RIGHT NOW

because they are excited or inspired or energized

to create something because of something I made

I have achieved my WHY.

I want to connect (or reconnect) you with your own creative spark.

That is my why.

Can you still remember your WHY? I would love to hear. Why do you show up and continue to create your best work?

My tip for you this week is to deliberately create an adventure for your eyes. Notice how I turned the diagonal twig so that the thicker part points up? Of course it will grow from thick at the bottom to thin at the top and that is the way we are taught to place it when we are learning how to design with flowers. But by placing it from thick at the top to thin at the bottom I created an arrow for your eyes to follow leading you from the top back to the bottom where your eyes climb from pebble to pebble back to the top…. And slides down again with the narrowing twig. Such a subtle trick but it really captures your attention.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

Ps: Special thanks to Wendi for reconnecting me with my WHY this week with a wonderful comment on Instagram (see the snippet below)
