On my online workbook this week: … ish

Dear

This week's inspiration is a generous bunch of cherry blossom twigs for admiring inside.

Oh yes, I am very much faking Spring here in Vancouver. The ground is covered in snow. But then again… just like that we will soon see signs of Spring everywhere.

My tip for you this week is about where I cut my jasmine vine. I always cut there where you would take a cutting because well… that is what I do. I cut the stem just below the node so that I can root the vine in the design so that I can share those. Another benefit of cutting the vine just below the node is that the node then acts as a stopper keeping the vine in the small plastic lid of my water tube- see the picture below. Slip the vine into the plastic lid first so that the node is inside the lid (see the pictures above). Fill the water tube and slip the vine into the tube and close the plastic lid. You can now hang the vine, with the tube comfortable dangling on the cut end of the vine without it slipping off.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
