On my online workbook this week: (if only) I can see you

Dear

This week's inspiration is the way we get to connect through our floral creations.

My tip for you this week is how I get into the tangle to glue my vines exactly where it connects with the vase. It can get a bit complicated with all the vines in the way.

I use a bamboo skewer as an applicator. Squeeze out the glue onto the thin tip of the skewer and then use that to apply to the plant material. You can dab a tiny drop, spread a surface, draw a line and reach deep into a design behind even the most delicate plant material.

I use this way to apply all the glue, actually. Yes, even floral glue. I find it the best way to control the amount of glue I add and also to get into the smallest of spaces without damaging any floral material.

The applicator also keeps the glue tube tip clean and plant free. And as a bonus… and this works really well: once the skewer is tacky with glue you can use it to dab any glue spills away. Yes, the glue sticks to the glue and you can lift off any glue spills with the skewer applicator. Here is a Tutorial for you if you want to have a closer look Removing Floral Adhesive Spills

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

I finally have some good news on the whole book price issue. It is currently on sale at Amazon for minus 26%. I still would love the price to be even lower so the work continues. Amazon.ca
