On my online workbook this week: Have yourself a Merry Cellulose Fibre Christmas: Snow Globe

Dear

This week's inspiration is … dreaming of a white Christmas.

My tip for you this week is all about the sparkle. I love adding these tiny dew drop crystals to my designs. They are definitely my go-to accessory. One problem though: they tend to let go.

Yes, you can add a stronger glue to each and every crystal but in a small design like this it can get messy pretty quick. My work around is to sandwich the crystals. Place a crystal where you want it, spin the design around and place another crystal right behind it so that the crystal sticker part sticks to the now partner crystal sandwiching the plant material in the middle. Works like a charm and you end up needing to use less crystals (because it makes a bigger impact) if you are designing something that can be viewed from all sides. Bonus… they now look like little baubles!

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

Talk about bonus… I have added another Tutorial for you this week. How to weave the tiniest of gift boxes. It is so cute!

...ok not really that fancy- it’s paper pulp. Cardboard boxes, really. In the spirit of 2020- I am inspired by the endless stream of cardboard boxes being delivered. This week it's a snow globe platform that is quick to make and hold a hidden water source and an easy to get to the on off switch battery candle button.

… ideal for fresh floral displays because it has a hidden water source that can be refilled and the candle can be switched on and off without disturbing the design.
