On my online workbook this week: Got it Made

Dear

This week’s inspiration is late night sunsets that glow for hours.

My design note for you is my main reason for using two strings of fairy lights… to give my container a bit of lift. When the lights are wrapped all the way around the container to create the grid you have lights shining under the container so you might as well lift it slightly so that the entire design glows!

Balance the container on the long and flat battery pack-feet, one on each side. I use these flat battery (see the pictures above) lights so that I can glue the battery packs to the bottom of the container with hot glue. Make sure it is stable before adding your water.

And remember to place the switches to stick out from the container edge so that it is easy for you to operate the switch without having to tilt or lift up the design.

Perfect for a relaxing summer evening display after your Canada Day celebration.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
