Trend Alert

Talking about Christmas 2013… Here are the top trends: Multiple slim-line trees: Rather than one large tree, this will be the year of slim, tall trees, grouped and place throughout the house. Non Seasonal, Season: Due to tighter budgets and search for a clutter-free simpler life, people are opting for design items that blur the seasonal line and can be easily dressed up to look more festive. Return to Nature: The popularity of craft inspirations found on Pinterest is driving a more natural, home-crafted, recycled trend. Think pine cone tree (see this week's design) or acorn baubles on paint dipped or frosted branches.

And the predicted colour trends for Christmas 2013? Emerald paired with Aubergine, Plum with Gold or Pewter, Neon / candy colours- especially Tangerine, Minty green and Fuchsia Pink and soft, ethereal (especially popular with the return-to-nature trend mentioned above) Glossy White on Matt white.
