On my online workbook this week: Gentle transition
Dear
This week's inspiration is … taking my time for a slow transition from rustic autumn to sparkling Christmas.
It is rather tricky to add the grass into the fluffy bunny tail seed bloom. It tends to get stuck in the fluff making it difficult to position just so.
Cut a bit of the collar and sheath with the leaf blade (see the picture above) so that you can spear the grass between the seeds without ripping the seeds out. Then add a bit of hot glue to the sheath of the grass (the stem bit) and use a bamboo stick to press the grass between the seeds to position it exactly where you want it. Be careful when removing the bamboo skewer. Gently roll the skewer between your fingers as you lift it out so that the glue spreads but the skewer is released.
Then you can arrange the grass blade and allow the glue to set before adding the next blade of grass.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
