Dear

This week’s inspiration is finding and keeping natures treasures. Luckily, what we define as a treasure changes over time but when you are small, finding a beautiful butterfly or a gory bug can easily be defined as a treasure. This was my inspiration for these wedding designs. I wove the butterfly net for a small Flower Girl and a bug box for a dapper little Ring Bearer to keep those (hopefully imaginary) summer "finds" and “treasures” in. The designs were fashioned for the new summer issue of DIY Wedding Magazine

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

Trend Alert

Botanical chandeliers are the latest trend to hit the floral design world. From the elaborate floral art chandeliers staged at the Chelsea flower show to these more minimalist planter chandeliers by Omer Arbel.

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will continue to be a huge trend this year. Last weekend (2 June) was the official anniversary of the coronation ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II. To commemorate the occasion The Royal Parks created a 4 meter high by 2.5 meters wide replica of the St Edward’s Crown used in the crowning of the Queen in 1953 made of 13.500 flowering plants and resting on a 4.5 by 4.5 meter red cushion made of another 7.200 plants. Majestic!
