On my online workbook this week: Daffodillily

Dear

This week's inspiration is … feeling the autumn breeze in the afternoons.

My tip this week is about making seamless connections. When you need to connect plant material to turn it into a longer garland try to connect stems or grass or vines so that it looks as natural as possible.

Connect one length of a fine vine to another by cutting the one vine just below a node or natural fork or thickening stem. Place the tiniest bit of glue you can on the wound. Add glue to the vine you want to connect it to. Set both aside so that the glue becomes tacky before connecting the vines.

Then when weaving the now longer vine into the design, support the connection with your hand until it can be gently pulled tighter to seamlessly blend, and be supported by the rest of the weave.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
