This week's inspiration is to say thank you.

The glittering dew drop crystals are pretty, yes, but they also serve a purpose. They are a sneaky “I made you look” detail.

Whenever you add a clever something to your design… like the inside of the leaf here, draw some attention to it. Not so obvious that it distracts from the flowers or overall look of the design but just enough so that people who are interested in designing have a bonus something to look at. A little “I see what you did there” inside secret we get to share.

Also… and this is something I truly believe… save some of your cleverness for the next design. Be generous with the pretty, absolutely but when it comes to design ideas try to restrain yourself and add only one really, really clever twist. And do it so well that it positively shines. Too many great ideas in one design can easily be too distracting and ultimately be ignored.
