On my online workbook this week: But for this… let’s not rush
Dear
This week's inspiration is giving yourself time when you need to.
My tip for you this week is about cleaning up the seed fluff. And it really gets everywhere!
One way is to wrap the tape around two fingers, sticky side out and then just to dab and lift the fluff away. If a lot of fluff comes off, sadly it is time to let the design go. But for just a few flecks you can continue to maintain it.
An even faster way is to simply stick a longer length of tape all the way down the seed and lift away all the fluff at once.
But don't throw away the sticky seed tape. Yes, you have captured the seeds and can probably plant it out if you have the space but what I use it for is a masking barrier. The fluff on the pods reduce the sticky tapes... well... stickiness. It basically turns the tape into painters tape that can now be used on more delicate surfaces and it will not rip whatever it is stuck to when you peel it off. For instance when I want to tape something temporarily to the photography paper I use as background.
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
