On my online workbook this week: Blowing this way and that

Dear

This week's inspiration comes from… scarf shopping. Yes really!

I did like the look of the bark wire around the ends of this shallow container. It added the rustic scarf-like wrap that I wanted. A drawback is of course that bark wire is wrapped with fibre that wicks moisture.

If the wire is below the water line water will slowly seep out onto your display surface. Make sure the water is well below the wire.

Easy to manage when you are designing and maintaining the design yourself. But do remember to mention it if someone else is going to top up the water in the display because it can cause a lot of damage to a display surface.

Then I also have a fun bonus tip for you about creating an adjustable wire twist that can be tightened or released as required when you design with wrapped wire.

When you move the wire to its final position you might find that it is now not as tight as you wanted. Simply twist the wire at the side to bend a curve creating a tighter fit that is still adjustable if you need to reposition it again.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
