On my online workbook this week: All round pretty sweet and short
Dear
This week's inspiration is … beauty all around.
My tip for you this week is about removing visual distractions to make a point. When making a messy tangle design add your design elements until you made your point and then STOP.
There is a point where a messy tangle becomes a distracting mess. That point will depend on your own design style. If you are bolder than me, for instance, you will be able to take the concept much further before it reaches tipping point. My design style is very deliberate though. You just know that if something twirls that way it is because I added it. I am sensitive to details. To the point where even the flower stem end added a visual distraction and I had to keep the water level high so that I can cut the stem short enough to conceal in the wreath tangle but long enough so that the passion fruit vine remains hydrated. Now the clear vase creates a relaxing contrast to the tangle up on top. Do you know where your tipping point is? When is a lot... too much?
Enjoy!
Every good wish,
Christine
