On my online workbook this week: A Very Merry eucalyptus bauble Christmas!

Dear

This week's inspiration is a dusting of snow... with purpose!

Yes, the entire design is snow covered, on purpose ('cause pretty!). Yes, I added a screen of snow to the bottom part of my design, on purpose ('cause is gives the design a dream-like haze to soften up the Christmas lights).. but what I really want to tell you about is the purpose of the snow on the armature itself... it is my tip for you this week: add a dusting of snow (artificial snow and wood glue) all the way up the twigs. As the glue and the snow dries it hardens making it so much easier to string the slippery wired lights up and around the twigs without having to glue the lights permanently as you go along. The artificial snow/glue mixture gives the twigs just enough texture to hook the lights and decorative twigs at the exact angle you want them while designing. And it won't sag down over time while displaying your tree.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
