Dear

This week’s inspiration is pining for Christmas. Yes, it’s hard to believe that we are already beginning to design for Christmas! This year my designs will explore all things pine… but for that we have to wait till December. For now, this is my first design for the series and it is featured with my article in this month’s Designing for Christmas issue of The Canadian Florist Magazine.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine

Ps: It is only 19 weeks to Christmas day. Incredible!

On Monday I did a Floral Art Demonstration at the BC Floral Art Society. This is an overview of the demonstration. Over the next few weeks I will add each design in detail and include all the tutorials used to make the design.

I also wove a Midelino cane coil basket for the demonstration favors and I wanted to share the tutorial with you

Do you remember the amazing Flower Carpet made of about 750 000 flowers in Brussels in 2010? It was quite, quite magnificent and became one of the most viewed floral art carpets ever staged. Tonight is the unveiling of the 2012 Begonia Flower Carpet. The carpet is staged every year in the Grand Place in Brussels and this year’s design honours Africa.
