Trend Alert

I often mention the Vintage trend. One way to describe the new trend of all things Retro Chic, would be to compare it to the all things Vintage of a while ago. The tea set you inherited from your grandmother is an example of Vintage, and Retro Chic would be the typewriter you inherited from your grandfather. Retro chic is more masculine and even a bit darker. It should be interesting to watch the trend develop.
 

Calla Lilies is the flower of choice right now. It was triggered by Stefano Pilati's matching suits in calla lily print (designed as part of his ready to wear woman's collection for Yves Saint Laurent) shown at the Fall Paris fashion week earlier this month. Look out for very dark (almost black) colours or rusty pastels.
