From succulents to cacti. As the trend for using succulents in design work are now thoroughly main stream, designers are looking towards the spiky and more edgy cacti to make their work stick out.

Submerged flowers are still popular. To update the trend designers have moved away from floating a candle (or candles) on the water to creating a few mono-botanical designs, either completely or partially submerged in water and set in attention-grabbing glass containers, grouped and placed to maximize the effect.
