On my online workbook this week: Shade-Seeking Style Choices Confirmed by “Sources” who know all about shade seeking style choices

Dear

This week’s inspiration is how I am already hopping from shady spot to shady spot every time I am out on my balcony garden. What happened to Spring? It feels like the sun is baking down in full summer strength already.

Anyway… my design note for you this week is a personal preference but still well worth noting. I like to always position my design elements so that they look like they are having a cozy conversation. In this design it meant taming the bleeding hearts just a bit so that they turn into the cymbidium foliage loop to look through the loop, at each other. A bit like neighbours having a cozy chat over the garden fence.

Have a look at he bleeding heart stems. They naturally grow at an angle that can be positioned to curve how you want it. Clock the stems so that the natural curve is exactly how you want it and then secure it in place with the heavier crystal and a tiny drop of floral glue, if needed..

Make sure the crystal holds it in place but will not act as a tourniquet that will pinch the stem and keep it too tight to draw up water.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
