On my online workbook this week: Ringing in A Very Merry Traditional Christmas… Tradition

Dear

This week's inspiration is Christmas traditions. Last week I showed you our Christmas tradition- the Swarovski snowflake ornament. This week… my second look at almost Christmas holiday traditions.

My tip for you this week is about placing these tiny little crystals. They are small and should be weightless until you try to place them on delicate floral material. As you know, I go through great lengths to avoid anything in my design looking droopy. Same goes for the tiniest details. The crystals can easily drag down the delicate foxtail. Not so visible if you place one. Or two. But if you go for sparkling it adds up quickly and your eyes will pick up the curves downward giving the impression that the designs dragged down.

To avoid this place a few of the bigger crystals right on the firm stem. Then when placing the smaller ones place them right at the tip but press them so that it sticks on a few of the leaves at the top creating an umbrella for the tiny crystal to rest on.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
