On my online workbook this week: It even sounds like the heat is winding down all the way up to a chill!

Dear

This week’s inspiration is the change of mood as the season winds down… or up… it’s almost the brightest of all seasons here in Canada!

This week’s tip is about that jaunty angle of the caladium leaf. And how could it not be!?! It is so spectacular and turns out, amazing to design with. The caladium leaf lasted for well over two weeks in my design without showing any sign of stress.

So here's how to keep that jaunty angle… just so. Simply cut the stem longer than you require. Slip it into the container (it will now stand up much higher than you want it to be) and instead of simply standing the stem in the water, reach in under the water (see the picture above) and lift to curve the stem so that it follows the shape of the fishbowl container. The tilt of the leaf will be set in place as the stem kicks firmly into position against the glass.

Enjoy!

Every good wish,

Christine
