On my online workbook this week: It could be what to do with a wickedly good idea!
Dear
This week’s inspiration this week is how “could be’s” become inspiration. Funny how creativity works. And scary how imitation works. But most of all the magic is always… always… always in the work. Effort is magical!
My design note for you this week is about how our flowers “speak to us” you want a licking flame that burns under your cauldron. Galdiolus tepals answers… “I’ve got that!” If you look at the flower it has one petal that extends. Place this like a flame linking up the glass container.
Not only does this just look right… this also helps the flower stand upright and in place. Tepals are generally structurally stronger, thicker, and more robust than petals. So place the gladiolus so that the three tepals keep it in place. The easiest way to do this, because the tepals and the petals look identical in a gladiolus is simply to let your imagination do the work for you… let the longer “flame” petal lick up the cauldron vase.
Happy Halloween weekend, flower buddies.
Every good wish,
Christine
